Review Standard is a buyer's research publication covering consumer products across categories.

The premise is simple: most people research a purchase the same way I do, reading reviews, trying to separate signal from noise, wondering whether the consensus they're finding online reflects reality or reflects how well a brand has optimized its marketing. Review Standard is a systematic attempt to do that research properly.

I'm a software developer and technology consultant with a decade running engineering and product at a large e-commerce platform and several years inside the programmatic advertising industry at one of the major players in that space. I understand how online product marketing works at an infrastructure level: the machinery behind what appears in search results, how review ecosystems get shaped, how pricing signals get constructed. That informs how this site evaluates products.

Review Standard doesn't claim firsthand testing. It claims rigorous, transparent research: expert source aggregation, real owner feedback, honest tier assessments. The full methodology is at /about/methodology.
